I hope everyone had a safe & happy new year!
While I did enjoy and celebrate the New Year, I was also pretty sick (fever and all). I must say, it's a horrible feeling, but I'm now fully functional alas. Thank God for Tylenol and Theraflu - you were my hero. Since Christmas I haven't made too many scarves, but late last week I was back to the rat race. Here are a few:
What's in store for this year?
I have a couple of ideas up my sleeve as far as packaging and creating a new look for Simply Scarves. Daniella from Ode to Empire will be a major contributing factor. This girl is pretty friggin' creative and will add that 'edge'! Though I have a business card/ logo, I don't feel this is the image I'm going for. Additionally, I am looking into buying more material for new designs. Indecisive should be my middle name, because I can't choose!
The best for last...
Daniella (Ode to Empire), Ailyn (Laced Gumption), and I are attempting a collaborative effort while incorporating our talent into one blender, so to speak. I am very excited for this and would be using this as a means of showcasing my scarves for Spring 2011. Daniella has incredible talent behind the lens and Ailyn can tell a story with her words. Excited? I am!
Goodnight and stay warm tonight. :)

Just an update...
I have quite a few orders to fulfill by Christmas, but I have taken a break this week. My cousin, Leslie, is getting married this weekend and I am honored to be her MOH (Maid of Honor). I have been busy running little errands here and there and also trying to get halfway through my Christmas shopping. Although I accomplished a few gifts, I couldn't pass up these AWESOME items to wear with my scarves...not to mention bargains!
In addition to errands, I get my top braces taken off on Thursday morning. I am beyond excited. Just in time for the wedding. The bottom will have to remain for a few more months, but that's OK with me. I have religiously taken photos of my progress (quarterly) and can't wait to see what my teeth finally look like.
That's all for tonight. I have new orders to start next week and will definitely post them up!

New Cards!
I've been back and forth on what type of image I want to portray for my scarves. I got help from a few great people, but I decided to give it a shot tonight. I put my creativity to use and designed my own card and logo/ image! Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY pleased so far. I think this is it. I'm just going to tweak it with other info, etc. BTW, I am adding my phone number.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Still trying to figure this out...
I think I can get the hang of it, eventually. Anyways, I want to attempt to use this and share my latest scarf creations.
I will make this short and sweet, until I familiarize myself a bit more with this blog. Just wanting to show my appreciation for any support and kind words!
I'd like to give a huge thanks to my wonderful, long-time neighborhood friend (Daniella) for using her talent and making me the following. Her blog is a MUST read! Ode to Empire
Also, a big thanks to Dacia (The Ruffly Owl) for her support and creativity. Please check out her crafty goods @ The Ruffly Owl (Etsy Shop) and her blog @ The Ruffly Owl.
Lastly, thanks to my Mom for her constant help and support. =)
